7-Bullet Saturday: Edition #4
Hey, happy new year :) Another week, another seven bullets to spark ideas, challenge perspectives, and keep you ahead of the curve. Grab a coffee, take a breath, and let’s dive in. 🚀
1. What I’m Reading
📖 “The Almanack of Naval Ravikant” – A book that isn’t just about wealth and happiness, but how to play the long game in life.
Naval doesn’t teach you how to get rich quick—he teaches you how to build leverage, think independently, and design a life you actually want to live.
Biggest insight? The most valuable skill you can develop is learning how to think for yourself.
Schools teach memorization.
Corporations train obedience.
Society rewards conformity.
But the real winners? They create their own rules.
💡 This book is a must-read if you want to escape the rat race and build a life on your own terms.

2. What I’m Listening To
🎵 “Vienna” – Billy Joel
Sometimes, we treat life like a race. Work harder, move faster, do more. But what if success isn’t about speed—but about direction?
This song is a gut punch reminder to slow down and enjoy life as it happens.
Best line?
"Slow down, you’re doing fine. You can’t be everything you want to be before your time."
Success isn’t about rushing ahead—it’s about making the right moves at the right time.

3. What I’m Watching
🎥 “Godfather of AI” Geoffrey Hinton: The 60 Minutes Interview
Ever wondered who actually built the machine-learning algorithm behind ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude? Meet Geoffrey Hinton, aka the Godfather of AI.
Back in the 1960s, he accidentally created the algorithm that mimics human brain function. That “accident” is now the foundation of deep learning.
The most unsettling part of the interview?
🗣️ Hinton: "For the first time in history, we may have created something more intelligent than us."
🎤 Interviewer: "You really think AI learns better than humans?"
🧠 Hinton: "Yes. A chatbot today has about 1 trillion neural connections. The human brain has 100 trillion. Yet, in that tiny fraction, it already knows way more than you do."
AI is at 1% of human brain power—and it’s already out-learning us. What happens when it catches up?

4. What I’m Studying
🧠 Dopamine Fasting – Why your brain is addicted to distractions.
Ever tried to focus on work but found yourself mindlessly scrolling Instagram, checking emails, or watching random YouTube videos? That’s dopamine addiction.
Our brains are wired for instant gratification, which makes deep work nearly impossible.
So how do you reset? Dopamine fasting.
✅ No phone for the first hour after waking up.
✅ No social media scrolling just for the sake of it.
✅ No cheap dopamine hits (junk food, mindless entertainment).
Try it for one day. See how your brain responds. You might be surprised how much easier it is to focus when you stop overstimulating it.
5. Quote I’m Pondering
"You will never change your life until you change something you do daily."
— John C. Maxwell
We like to think our future is shaped by big, dramatic moments—a new job, a big break, a lucky opportunity. But in reality? Your future is just your daily habits, compounded over time.
Waste today, waste your future.
Keep saying "one day," and that day never comes.
If nothing changes, nothing changes.
🚀 Want a different life? Fix your daily habits.
6. Tool I’m Using
🔧 ContactOut – A Networking Cheat Code
Ever found someone on LinkedIn you really wanted to reach out to—only to realize you can’t message them without InMail (which no one checks anyway)?
ContactOut is a Chrome extension that **grabs personal emails and phone numbers straight from LinkedIn—**no guessing, no digging. Just one click.
💡 It’s a game-changer if you need to connect with someone outside your immediate network.

7. Idea I’m Exploring
💡 Building Something from Scratch
I’ve been thinking a lot about what kind of business I want to start. Instead of jumping on the latest trend, I want to build something that solves a real problem—something that people actually need.
Here are a few ideas I’m considering:
1️⃣ A Personal Finance AI Assistant 💰
Managing money sucks—tracking expenses, budgeting, and keeping tabs on bills is a hassle. What if you could just text, voice note, or snap a pic of a bill, and an AI automatically organizes everything into a financial report?
Imagine casually saying, “Dinner with friends, 500k VND”—and boom, your AI logs it under Food & Dining. At the end of the month, you get a clear, categorized financial summary. No more spreadsheets, no more guessing where your money went.
2️⃣ AI-Powered SME Consulting 📈
Vietnamese SMEs are still running businesses manually, wasting time on paperwork, admin, and inefficient processes. I want to build a consulting service that helps them **automate their operations with AI—**from strategy to execution.
The best part? I’ve got a solid team and some deals already lined up. This could turn into something big.
3️⃣ A Personal AI Assistant for Everything 🤖
A smart assistant inside Telegram or WhatsApp that actually does stuff—not just answering questions like ChatGPT, but handling real tasks:
✅ Taking notes for you.
✅ Reminding you about key events.
✅ Scheduling calendar meetings.
✅ Writing emails.
✅ Sending SMS messages.
This could even merge with the finance assistant—so your AI not only manages your schedule but also keeps an eye on your spending.
→ The goal? Make AI feel like a real assistant, not just a chatbot.
I haven’t locked in on any one idea yet, but I know one thing for sure: I don’t want to build something just for the sake of it—I want to create something people truly need.
Which idea sounds the most interesting to you? Let me know. 👇
That’s it for this week!
